Bespoke electrophysiological and imaging equipment
Mechanical stimulators
Compact high fidelity mechanical stimulators able to apply precise force at varying strengths.
Cell mechanical stimulator
Specifications
A miniature stimulator easily positioned to desired coordinates. Force ranges from 0 – 60 mg. Stimulator can be equipped with standard patch pipettes. Stimulated frequency ranges up to 1kH. The mechanical stimulus can be controlled by any recording systems as mentioned above or directly by a mobile phone via the audio output using a suitable app.
suitable for cellular recordings (such as patch clamp, ca imaging)
Applications
Tissue mechanical stimulator
Example of mechanical threshold measurement by activating single action potential in a nerve ending with force stimuli of high dynamic
Applications
suitable for in/ex vivo/vitro electrophysiology in tissues such as muscles, skin, nerve, etc.
Specifications
Follows 1000Hz yielding accurate stimuli at desired profiles (ramp/sinus/pulse/arbitrary). Force ranges 0.05 - 500gram. Tip diameter range – 100µm to 1000µm. Tip shapes available - round/ square. Operated through any recording systems providing drive and signal processing functions. Available in combination with an electrical-stimulating tip for dual mechano-electrical stimulation!
